Chance for two Heritage Hockey medals for NZISA
Both the NZISA Men’s and Women’s Team have the chance to take home medals from the 2026 Heritage Hockey Tournament tomorrow. The Women will play for Bronze, while the Men will go for Gold in the Grand Final.
The Women’s team have played hard and came through pool play with one win and two losses to place third behind the NZ Asian and NZ Pasifika teams. After the initial two losses they will have high hopes of taking home the Bronze Medal when they take on the Fiji Heritage side for a rematch of their game today where they were rewarded for their efforts by winning in a fast paced match 3 - 2 earlier today.

The Men’s side finished pool play strongly with a 3 - 1 win over NZ Pasifika today to cement the top spot going into tomorrows Grand Final. This followed a win over NZ Pasifika and the Pacific Allstars and a penalty shoot-out win over NZ Asians after the scores were locked at 2 - 2 at full time. The team is yet to play the Panjab Heritage team and it should be an exciting final.

Best of luck to both of the teams tomorrow. If you can make it down to the National Hockey Centre at North Harbour the teams would appreciate the support.
