NZISA vs. Indian Defence Force Hockey

The NZISA Men’s Hockey team will play a historic match against the touring Indian Defence Force Hockey Team. The match will be a curtain raiser to the second test match in the Slumberzone Indian Centenary Hockey Series where the Blacksticks will take on India.

Our community was inspired to take up hockey by touring Indian Hockey teams in particular the 1935 All-India team so it is a huge honour to be recognised and included in this tour that celebrates the centenary of the sporting connection between our ancestral and adopted homes. The other two test matches will feature the New Zealand Defence Force taking on their Indian counterparts as curtain-raisers.

Key Details:

  • 1.30pm on Saturday the 21st of November

  • Lloyd Elsmore Park, Pakuranga, Auckland.
