The 2024 Under 23 Hockey Tournament is scheduled to be held on Friday 2 to 4 February 2024 in Christchurch. The event will have U23 Men’s and Women’s Fast-5 Grades.

For those in the Bay of Plenty, Central Districts, Christchurch, and Waikato club boundaries, please get in touch with any players 23 years and under who would be interested in partaking in an combined Barbarian’s Team for this event.

2023 NZISA T20 Cricket Tournament

Current holders of the Air India Cricket Challenge Trophy are Pukekohe Indian Sports Club. A challenge for the trophy will occur in each match played by the holder.

This is a fantastic event and we hope to see as many clubs and teams partake in this tournament!

The 2023 NZISA King’s Birthday Tournament is to be held in Wellington by the Wellington Indian Sports Club.

KBT starts from Saturday 3rd to Monday 5th June 2023 with Women’s Men’s A, and Men’s hockey. The draw can be found below or downloaded in PDF here.

Games played on Turf 1 will be livestreamed on the NZISA Website, YouTube, and Facebook by Local Gecko Productions.

The 2022 NZISA Queen’s Birthday Tournament is to be held from Saturday 4th to Monday 6th June 2022 in Christchurch. The event will be hosted by the Christchurch Indian Sports Club.

QBT is NZISA’s premier event which showcases Indian hockey from its eight member clubs around New Zealand.

NZISA is excited to once again be involved in the upcoming New Zealand Heritage Hockey Tournament to be held on Friday 15th April to Monday 18th April 2022 (Easter weekend) at the Kolmar Sports Centre in Papatoetoe in Auckland.

This will be the second year this event will be held after its great success in 2021 which was participated by NZ Indians, NZ Maori, NZ Pasifika, and Hockey NZ Development Network, in which the NZISA men’s were winners of their grade.

NZISA will again be entering a men’s and women’s squad and are looking for players for 2022. Players must be able to provide full commitment towards the tournament, be available from Thursday 14th April to Monday 18th April, and be match fit without injuries.

All players who are available to represent NZISA please contact NZIZA, or your local Indian Sports Club, by Monday 31st January at the latest.

The 2021 NZISA Queen’s Birthday Tournament is to be held from Saturday 5th to Monday 7th June 2021 at the Rosa Birch Park in Pukekohe. The event will be hosted Pukekohe Indian Sports Club.

NZISA is excited to be involved in the upcoming New Zealand Heritage Hockey Tournament to be held on 2nd to 5th April 2021 (Easter weekend) at the Kolmar Sports Centre in Papatoetoe in Auckland.

This newly formed event has been formed in collaboration with NZ Maori, NZ Pasifika, NZISA and Hockey NZ. The event will include men’s and women’s teams from all three organisations, with the addition of teams from the Hockey NZ Development Network making up the fourth.

The goal of the tournament is to provide an aspirational pathway for players to represent our ethnic teams, grow hockey in our organisations, allow a platform for players to be challenged and supported in hockey, showcase the best hockey players on a larger stage and ensure contribution and pathway to Hockey NZ development.

NZISA will be entering a men’s and women’s squad, and are pleased to announce that Paresh Bhikha (from North Harbour Indian Sports Club) has been selected as the women’s coach, and Yogesh Hari (from Pukekohe Indian Sports Club) has been selected as the men’s coach.

We have approached a number of players and are waiting for confirmations but still require players to complete each squad, especially the women’s. We are also looking for managers for each squad as well.

This is an exciting event to be involved in with some fantastic ethinc organisations who have tremendous support from Hockey NZ, and we look forward to partaking in this, and future, NZ Heritage Hockey Tournaments.

The 2021 Under 23 Hockey Tournament will be held on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st January at the Harbour Hockey Centre, 159 Bush Road in Rosedale, Auckland and be hosted by the North Harbour Indian Sports Club.

Registrations are now open so please contact your local Indian Sports Club to register your team. The tournament will also be open to a ‘Fast 5’ women’s competition.

It is a great event to get the younger players involved prior to the hockey season starting so start gathering your teams.

The 2021 NZISA Cricket Tournament is to be held on Sunday 3rd and Sunday 4th January at Bledisloe Park, corner of John, Harris and Queen Streets in Pukekohe. The event will be hosted Pukekohe Indian Sports Club.

Registrations are now open so please contact your local Indian Sports Club to register your team. The cricket tournament is always a great event to see in the New Year.

Although a cricket representative fixture has not been confirmed yet, those who are selected in the Tournament Team will have a chance to try out for any possible representative fixtures that NZISA may hold in 2021.

The final draw will be posted on the NZISA website and Facebook page once final teams have confirmed, around late December.
